HMM-Sapo  Welcome to the start of a Collector's Website devoted to the incredible talents of  the noted Mexican ceramicist Herón Martinez Mendoza native of Acatlán de Osorio in the state of Puebla, Mexico.

There are many collectors of Martinez' great array of creativity, which ranged from unique trees of life to whimsical zoomorphic pieces (animales fantásticos and animales grotescos), pots, churches, masks, wall plaques, y más. This website will focus on these collectors and their "tales" of how they discovered  Martinez and what, in their eyes, makes him special. Selected photos of prized pieces in their collections would be especially welcome, to post on the website, as there is a dearth of such material on the Internet.

Besides the United States, Martinez is known to have an international following in countries such as, Japan, Germany, France, and Canada, stemming from the tourism flows to Mexico.  We would like to include collectors from as many cultures as possible as their varied insights would enrich the content of the site.
